Watch and Learn: Whiter Teeth, Naturally
We’ve recently come across a number of great videos about dental care on ABC.com. The first in the series we’d like to share covers ways you can get a whiter, brighter smile at home, just by eating and drinking a certain way.
Some of the tips include:
– Eating cheese before drinking red wine (the cheese forms a film that keeps teeth from staining)
– Consuming crunchy foods like apples, carrots, and celery — all scrub teeth of stains
– Mint leaves prevent stains by forming a protective coating on the teeth’s enamel
– Lemon juice and baking soda makes an inexpensive home whitening solution (use sparingly — this is a very potent combination)
– Cream or milk in coffee dilutes the staining properties of coffee
– Lemon, oranges, and strawberries all help remove stains naturally just by eating them
