Dr. Kristin Nickodemus, DDS, PLC, was welcomed to our Ann Arbor dental practice in February of 2019. “Dr. Nick” was born and raised in Pewamo, Michigan, a small farming community 35 miles northwest of Lansing. She knew at an early age that she wanted a career in dentistry.

After graduating from Pewamo-Westphalia High School, she earned an associate's degree in Dental Assisting from Lansing Community College. After working in private practice for a year, she decided dental school was where she wanted to be. Dr. Nickodemus worked as a Registered Dental Assistant while attending evening classes at L.C.C. before transferring to Michigan State University to study Zoology and complete her pre-dental requirements.

She began dental school at the University of Michigan in 1995. While completing her studies and clinical work, she also tutored underclassmen in Gross Anatomy, Dental Anatomy, and Pre-Clinical Skills. She graduated from the U of M School of Dentistry in 1999 and was honored to receive the Francis B. Vedder Society of Crown and Bridge Prosthodontics Award and the Louis C. Schultz Award in Operative Rehabilitation.

She believes dental treatment should never be traumatic, and that it should be done gently, painlessly, and conservatively.

Dr. Nick and her husband, Paul, are grateful to live in Ann Arbor with their three children, Ben, Laine, and Meg. When not chauffeuring kids to sporting events and choir practices, she loves spending time with family, reading, gardening, letterboxing, hiking, golfing, and skiing. Providing field trips for local preschools and elementary schools at her office has also been a very rewarding way for her to give back to the community.
