More Celebrity Teeth

We’re not sure what’s going on with the sudden uptick in celebrity teeth news, but since it’s out there, we’re happy to share it! Read on for more entertaining info about famous pearly whites…

Did you know?

Charlize Theron had NO teeth until the age of 11!

It’s true!

She recently revealed that her early childhood was “quite devastating” because she didn’t have any teeth until early adolescence.

“I had these fangs because I had jaundice when I was a kid and I was put on so many antibiotics that my teeth rotted. They had to cut them out,” Theron told the U.K.’s The Sun.

“So I never had milk teeth. That was tough, you know, being in school having photos taken while I was pretending I had teeth,” she recalled. “It was hideous.”

Happily, the star was discovered at the age of 16 by a modeling scout. Being temporarily toothless doesn’t seem to have hurt the Oscar-winning actress in the long run!

Teeth are very trendy right now, thanks to one of the stars of Mad Men, Jessica Paré. Her gap-toothed smile was what drew producer Matthew Weiner to cast her as Don Draper’s (very) young wife in the hit show.

Just for the record, Paré doesn’t understand all the fuss. “I forget about them because they’re in my face and they do their job just great,” she says. “I never get anything stuck in them.”

To illustrate just how popular Paré’s teeth are, if you search the term “Jessica Paré” in Google, “teeth” is the top associated term in the drop-down menu.

Did you know?

The story about the Polish dentist who extracted all of her former boyfriend’s teeth after he broke up with her in an act of revenge was apparently totally fake!

MSNBC recently reported that the story was a hoax that was picked up and repeated by countless news sites and blogs including the Huffington Post, MSN, and the Washington Post.

A spokesman for law enforcement in Wroclaw, Poland, said they had no record of the incident, and no record of of a dentist named Anna Mackowiak, the accused dentist from the story.

Men around the world may now feel they can rest easy since this story has finally been confirmed to be false.
