Although the economy has improved over the last few years, there are still many Michiganders who are in need of financial assistance, especially when it comes to affordable medical and dental care. If you or someone you know does not have dental insurance and would benefit from dental treatment, the Michigan Dental Association's website Smile Michigan is an excellent resource for county and community dental programs and resources that may help those in need get the treatment they need at a cost they can manage.

On a similar topic, there is a non-insurance annual dental savings plan offered via Aetna of which would like to make everyone aware, and that is AVS Dental. It provides discounts at certain providers and is available in three forms: single, couple and family. Savings range from 15% to 50%, depending on the dental services. Additional details are available on the AVS Dental website.
