While 87 percent of the metro San Juan area and 88 percent of the south have access to running water, only 46 percent of the north, 68 percent of the west and 77 percent of the east had access, according to a government website.
80% of Puerto Rico is still without power.
We have researched the various ways to give, and one of the very best options at this time, in our opinion, is to give to The Hispanic Federation.
100% of donations allocated to Hurricane Maria recovery efforts in Puerto Rico will go directly to help those most in need.
To specify that your donation goes to Puerto Rico, simply choose Puerto Rico Hurricane Relief from the drop-down menu provided before submitting your information.
Thank you to everyone who has already donated to this important cause!
